Mangalore

We flew into one of the ten most dangerous
airports runway in the world
on a grey thunderstorm afternoon.
Phew!

It is on the cliff, one side mountain
and the other, the valley.
The pilot just have to get it right landing
on the very short runway.
We took a honking-blow-your-horn
taxi all the way to town.
Mangalore has the most elaborate
and dazzling sarees shops.
And a wonderful cafe that serves
warm wonderful meals.
Malabar Restaurant.

I chance upon this incredible human specimens
at the Malabar Restaurant
and could not resist sharing a table
announcing to them they are absolutely gorgeous
asking them to pose for a photo.
Whew! such fine chiselled bone structures.
But mostly, it was their gentlemanly nature
that was captivating.

while others were checking out my Hunk
enjoying his fried prawn noodles.
Or they were admiring the pretty girl next to him.
We ate ALL our meals at this restaurant.
The entire menu is superb,delicious,
hot and satisfying, and cheap.
Best in Mangalore.

jasmine and cempaka
all strung together
their lingering fragrance
is so refreshing!
