It's about midnight and Dr Peter Reximus Dragon is calling me on the phone.
He needs to urgently get to the jetty or esplanade or river or ocean to 'tim kum'
or it will be another year wait for a nyonya bride to arrive or appear in the horizon.
The Poor bachelor.
I shall indulge him, since he has been a good neighbor.
So we took off.
And here I am, back where I started the evening, at the Esplanade.

The story so far . . .
Nothing much to do after the Dondang Sayang.
So Dr. Dragon and Nyonya decided follow the wise advice of the bibiks -
go throw oranges into the sea.
We wrote all our requirementssssss for a good spouse on two mandarin oranges each
(one mandarin is not enough to write all our requestsssssss
- wise, noble, handyman, kind, magnanimous, BALLROOM and latin DANCER
etc, et cetera, et cetera and . . . )
and drove all the way to the Esplanade to toss them into the sea with hopes for a good spouse,
just as we ordered.
Dragon wanted to ensure his oranges bobbed out into the sea and bring him a good wife,
so he insist we do the overhand throw and then the underhand throw.

and realized we forgot to add a few more necessary to our list of wishes -
