Victoria & Abdul, And Calligraphy

It was a bleak afternoon, and the Victoria & Abdul did not help at all.
It sounds strange, but it's an 'empowering' moment to decide that I shall go watch a movie,
all by myself.  Alone.

Afterwards I decided to have a cheery time spent at a stationary and calligraphy store.  A little indulgence, since I do not have time to amuse myself in calligraphy as much as I like to. Or at all.

I reminded myself I shall not be tempted to purchase anything as I have to save up for my shopping in Melbourne, London, Paris, Monte Carlo, Prague and Budapest, sometime next year.
And Christmas shopping around the corner!

This little wonderland feels so comforting.

A girl at the shop let me try writing script with the calligraphy pen, inked by a rainbow of luminous iridescent colours.  I had fun.  I thought I did pretty well in my script.  Tempting.  Tempted.  Bought the calligraphy nip, holder, and the most cheery, iridescent calligraphy colour.

Then sauntered over to a bookshop . . .  where I saw more writing materials.

Thick lovely writing paper, some psychedelic jewels, a book of rich gold embossed paper.  Bought them all.

Gold confetti for my favourite girl in the whole wide world.

And a clean and clear, crystal acrylic set of drawers. Love this.
The jewellery seems to 'float' on the crystal acrylic drawers.
My Nyonya jewellery shoppe.
