The moderators of the Peranakan Convention Seminar.
Leisurely waiting for the speakers to appear, and for the seminar to begin
Tra . . la . . . la!
Here's the real thing -
Dato' Lee Yow Ching, Melinda Song, Dr. Ong Jin Teong,
Khoo Salma Nasution, Ch'ng Huck Tong, Lillian Tong, C.N.Liew
How intently we are all, on stage, listening to C.N.Liew's lecture on Nyonyaware and Porcelains
And the captivated crowd. The good thing about the Peranakan Convention is the interest of the delegates in attending the lectures that is a feature of Peranakan Convention programmes. It is educational, enlightening, and presents research papers by local historians, academics, and experts in their related fields. It also throws light on how and why the Straits Chinese rose in ranks in the judiciary, banking, literary, politics arena wherever they made their home. Education and lifelong learning. It is this keen interest in learning, and in engaging in educational and intellectual debate.
The Speakers after the Seminar. Phew!

Datuk wants Peranakan Association of Malacca's trishaw. But the President is not letting him have it! He's taking Penang trishaw back to Malacca.
I love this!
