Lighted city scape of Kuala Lumpur. And nyonya.
A window view into outer space
Watching skilled craftsman carve and assemble souvenirs
This is where it all began . . .
Colonial architecture on the English side of the river
Masjid Jamek at the confluence of Gombak and one other (?) river .
The Chinese quarter of the Kuala
Sultan Abdul Samad building back on the colonial side of the river . . .
Heirarchy of Colonial government
A 'key hole' doorway
That used to be where they tie horses to, at about waist level, once upon a time. It has stunted over time. Or rather, years of re-surfacing by piling on top has led to the buildings 'sinking' below ground level.
See the corridor has 'sunk' below the pedestrian walk through random and careless re-surfacing. This is happening all over Penang as well,
A very pleasant surrounding makes for a nice morning walk.
Gothic structure in the nearby church
The chauvinistic all-men's bar at the Royal Selangor Clubhouse. This Clubhouse is the mothership for the Hash House Harriers. It all started here.
An old time old town coffee shop
And back home at The Saffron, an evening dip in the pool.
