Day 11: 28-31 March 2020

28 March, Saturday

Weekend again!
I am exhausted by writing and so I decided I shall take a break from writing today.

I also decided that I won't cook lunch and dinner in a day.  Instead I shall re-invent the earlier lunch meal for dinner.

It is interesting to note the change of conversation on watsapp chats-some who are trustworthy with sensible information, wise ones with wise words, others who identifies with speculation and wild claims, and the bully . . .

Yes, child bullies who just grew up into adult bullies, so on those sites, best to go submarine mode, hide in the ocean bed and keep out of radar.   Yes, the big thing during a MRO is that it surfaces the cooking pots and chefs  who never had a chance to do so,  working on weekdays. so its a merry-go-round of Happy Meals! Happy chefs who found their calling in a time of covid.

And posts that seek affirmation, adulation and applause.  What a giggle our girlfriends had on the side when one regularly posts her meals - and imagine if all 19 of us did that, that will be 19 photos of everyone's lunch daily- with over the top captions.  Well, hers goes something like this:

Breakfast: [Photo]  Ha2. Imported Arla Organic Low Fat Fish Milk from Italy, Haddrel's of Cambridge Manuka Honey from Harrods at Knightsbridge . . . and always, kefir and chia seeds served in Villeroy & Boch glasses.
Lunch: [Photo] Stone's Ginger Wine rom UK, Seared scallop with ostera caviar pasta in my favourite Le Creusest cooking pan (my Michellin star maid following Michellin chef Italo Bassi's recipe), Oneida fork and knife (flatware) . . .  paired with Italian Pinot Grigio. Yum yum!
Teatime: [Photo] Ha2. Red Legged Patridge pate from recent our tour of Spain,  on Pepper & Chives Falwasser Wafer Thin Crispbread (from Jaya Grocers. Yes, we are well  aware it costs twice as much as other crispbreads),  UCC 118 Freeze Dried Coffee.

So one girl responded with a photo and the caption:
Lunch: Mushroom and Chicken sphgettini alla Tesco in Zebra brand cooking pot passed on from mother-in-law, ang th'ng chooi T.G. Kiat & Company Singapore branded rose syrup.
Teatime: Roti Jari form market chia tiam ma dipped in kopi-O from mamak stall.
Dinner: Supreme Air Itam market Duck Rice, hot milk from air item bus station kelinga roadside susu stall.

Ha2. Yum Yum. We roll our eyes and we burst out in a fit of giggles.

Only one per car.  Head of household to go out, alone, for grocery shopping.
For the next 5 day's food supplies. Where's the food?

29 March, Sunday
Miss gathering at church and the weekly inspiring sermons.  So its online church for now.

Thanks to Aunty Pat for the recommendation to free online Bolshoi Ballet! Imagine, ballet in the morning!
And beauty treatment in the afternoon. Courtesy of Entrepreneur CEOs from Taiwan.  Does drinking a tea named 'Oriental Beauty' Oolong Tea count?
And Cirque du Soleil in the evening.

Ah, luxuriate in this very artistic day!

30 March, Monday
Spend all day tie tie tac tac tac on the keyboard finishing on an essay on a title I have been struggling with for the past 3 days.

31 March, Tuesday
I need a break from writing.  Three days researching, crafting and reworking a topic is too much!
to catch up with friends in Australia, Canada, US and Italy.
Checking out on ideas for my Tua Seh Kit Grand Birthday that has been postponed due to MCO.  Just love it that September or November or December should be beautiful months to celebrate with the theme I have in mind.
And window shopping online.
