'Almost' a copy of my necklace
Straits Chinese Gold Jewellery
by Lillian Tong
This is a brooch, but I suggested to the
craftsman that I can wear it as a necklace,
on my hair, and if he makes it 'jointed',
I can take it apart to make earrings, brooch
and a hair pin.
He asks if I fancy these copies of
Victorian Silver Mesh purses,
inspired from pieces in my book,

Hmm . . . which one shall I settle for?
The one with the filigree dressing on
the frame! And I am going into nyonya
jewellery business!

Some of these bintangs and kerosangs are
replicated from my book. I am getting the
'Fu Lu Shou' kerosangs, an antique heirloom
piece that was featured in my book.
