Sat here reading for the next 45 minutes
waiting for everyone to turn up
Reading and taking a photo. Or two.
Finally our guests have all arrived,
led by Sweet Lan and the coquettish Nora.
We started on our Nyonya Th'ng Tok lunch.
Yahyah and Rotarians from Phuket
Perut Ikan, Curry Kapitan, Hong Bak,
Assam Prawns, Acar Hu Fish, sambal,
Choon Pneah, Inche Kabin, Ju Hoo Char,
Nasi Ulam, Nasi Bunga Telang . . .
Thai friends love the flavour of
Penang Nyonya cuisine.
Yes, this is the coquettish Nora. It's her birthday, and after we sang a rousing birthday song, she wished for beauty, money, and rich boyfriend. And Poof! Her wish was granted sooner than we all expected! The Designer Chef, unwittingly, came over to give her a a kiss and a cuddle. She had to put on her sunnies to shade the laser >beams< shinning from her eyes that is sure to blind all of us. See, their scarf and shirt colours also matchy matchy. It must a sign!
However Richard says the kiss will cost her 10000 baht. And it's a good thing too she kept her hands to herself, otherwise any touchy touchy would have cost her another 10000 bhat!
I love bringing friends here. Richard would come over to say hello to my friends and indulge them. He always could single out individuals to pay attention to, and let them know they are special . Thanks, Richard!
Afterwards I traded Phuket for Balinese umbrella
and a tangerine throne that went nicely with my
apricot-cantaloupe-peach dress.
